Scaling Your Company for Hypergrowth

In 2017, Nadir joined an unknown education technology startup in Abu Dhabi that had no product, no customers, no revenue, and not even a website. By 2021, the company had grown to over 300 employees in several countries, had a few hundred thousand students using its edtech products, and was highly profitable. It won a number of awards, became one of the most recognised education companies in the UAE and Middle East, and achieved unicorn status.

As the Chief Operating Officer of the company, Nadir was heavily involved in the strategic direction of the company and was responsible for building and leading the Finance, HR, Legal, Marketing, Procurement and Administrative functions. Nadir also led the company's expansion into Indonesia and helped the company set up a school management company that was spun off. The five years at this edtech company was fast-paced, frenetic, and at times, challenging. But it was a truly rewarding experience. Working alongside talented colleagues from around the world, we managed to transform the education sector in UAE and put power in the hands of students.
