YC Lau (刘远青)is a Strategic Advisor to C-level Executives, Start-ups and Boards in tackling complex business & people challenges, connects them with relevant partners including investors, and encourages/works alongside them to realize their full potential in a Digital/Web3 economy of possibilities. YC has 20 years of experience in MNCs, Start-ups, & Government HR & OD leadership experience in Hi-Tech, Telecommunications, Hospitality, Transportation, and Supply Chain Management sectors across Asia Pacific, Europe & North America. He held senior HR & OD leadership positions at ComfortDelGro Corporation, Singtel, The Ascott Group, Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (now IMDA and GovTech), SembCorp Logistics, Ministry of Manpower, often driving key transformation efforts. He is an early Crypto/Blockchain enthusiast and is involved in Metaverse, DAOs, Art NFT, and Blockchain P2E gaming projects that aim to make a positive impact on the world and humanity. He is also a champion for Sustainability and is working with founders of Hi-Tech Aqua and Agri farms to scale globally. He has invested in a number of start-ups and also helped raise funds as Strategic Advisor through his network of investors and HNW.

He was most recently Group Chief HR Officer for ComfortDelGro Corporation, one of the world’s largest listed land transport companies. It operates in seven countries, including China, Australia, UK, & Singapore with a fleet of about 40,000 vehicles, close to 24,000 employees, & serves millions of commuters daily. ComfortDelGro’s businesses include bus, taxi, rail, car rental, automotive engineering, inspection & testing, driving schools, non-emergency patient transport services, insurance brokerage as well as outdoor advertising.

At SingTel’s, he was Head of HR for Group Digital Life business unit and covered US, Europe, & Asia Pacific and Singtel’s Corporate Venture arm Innov8 and Singtel’s digital businesses: Amobee - AdTech, Hooq - Premium Video, Datasparks - Advance Analytics and emerging digital businesses that are synergistic with the Singtel Group’s 700 million mobile customers around the world thru’ Optus(Australia) and associates Telkomsel(Indonesia), Airtel(India & South Africa), Gobe(Philippines), and AIS(Thailand).

As Chief of HR & OD at the Infocomm Development Authority (IDA) of Singapore, he helped establish BASH (“Build Amazing Start-ups Here”) that aggressively transformed the Singapore ICT start-up ecosystem & built an award-winning HR & OD team & elevated IDA's employer brand to be among Google & Facebook based on Universum rankings. He also developed a digital team of software engineers, design thinkers, data scientists, & cybersecurity professionals, resulting in the creation of Government Digital Services.
